The cartridge carriage is stuck (a carriage jam).
How to fix it
- Turn the printer off and unplug it.
- Open the cartridge access door and remove any paper or objects in the carriage path.
- Move the carriage gently by hand to check it slides freely.
- Close the door, plug in and turn it on.
