Canon error 1688
One of the ink cartridges is empty.
How to fix it
- Check which cartridge light is flashing, or check the levels in the Canon software.
- Replace the empty cartridge.
- If you must print now, hold the Stop or Resume button for at least 5 seconds to continue. This turns off ink level detection for that cartridge.
Is it worth fixing?
Not a fault. Printing with an empty cartridge for long can overheat and damage the print head.
